Preservation of Nucleic Acids

Published on: Thursday 18, August 2011

Anchordoquy TJ and Molina MC, "Preservation of DNA", Cell Preservation Technology, 5(4): 180-188, 2007.

Why it is important: It reminds us that preservation of DNA is not a completely solved problem.  Freezing can damage DNA strands and make the sample less useful for future genomic techniques.  A good review of dry state storage was also provided.
